Building Spaces That Strengthen Communities
GMH Builders is proud to partner with organizations that create meaningful impact within the communities they serve. The Center for Food, Youth, and Community reflects a shared commitment to health, resilience, and human connection through thoughtful construction and purposeful design.
Developed for the Ceres Community Project in Santa Rosa, California, this transformative new facility expands the organization’s ability to prepare nutritious meals, support youth leadership development, and provide gathering spaces focused on wellness and community engagement.
The 19,611 sf ground-up commercial facility includes an 8,000 sf all-electric commercial kitchen, meeting rooms, administrative offices, and outdoor gathering areas designed to support collaboration and accessibility.
Supporting Community Through Construction
Designed to further the mission of the Ceres Community Project, the facility creates an environment where food, education, and community intersect. The project significantly increases Ceres’ capacity to prepare and distribute nutritious meals throughout Sonoma County while providing youth with hands-on experience in food service, leadership, and community engagement.
The project also incorporates sustainable and wellness-oriented elements, including an all-electric kitchen and integrated edible landscaping that reinforce the organization’s commitment to environmental responsibility and healthy living.
